Chapter 103
Avi refused to speak to Kirstie when she walked in the room. Kirstie found him sitting in the bathtub, although there was no water in it and Avi was wearing all of his clothes. His hands were tugging on his own hair, as he angrily sat in silence. Kirstie dropped to her knees beside the tub, and frowned at him. "Alpha...?" She whispered. Avi didn't answer her. He didn't even move. "Are you okay?" Still nothing. "Alpha... Please talk to me." Finally, Avi turned to her and-- Just kidding. Still nothing. Kirstie didn't know what to do, but she didn't want to leave him all alone, so she just sat there beside him. After about five minutes of absolute silence, Todrick came into the room prepared to lecture Avi about being rude to his two favorite people. But when he saw the situation in the bathroom, he kneeled down beside Kirstie and carefully reached over to hold her hand. Kirstie looked up, and met his eyes with her own watery, blue, Omega eyes. Todrick frowned at her, and squeezed her hand so she'd know that he was there for her. Kirstie looked back to Avi, who was still unmoving, but she leaned into Todrick's side a little. **********
Mitch was taking a quick shower, Scott just sitting on the edge of the bed with a towel around his waist as he stared at the wood of the closed bathroom door. Scott's medication made him easily distracted though, and it didn't take long before he stood up and put a pair of sweatpants on before limping down the stairs. It took him an embarrassingly long time to completely descend the stairs, but he decided he wouldn't tell anyone about it. Scott's senses were completely overwhelmed with sadness as soon as he hit the ground floor, and he looked around frantically, trying to decided where to look for the sad people. He walked down the hallway first, deciding he would just ask Avi what to do, but when he walked into the room he frowned at all the sadness he could sense in just that room alone. Scott peeked his head into the bathroom, frowning at Avi, who still had yet to move at all. Scott would've assumed he was asleep had his eyes not been wide open. Scott sat down on the ground beside Todrick, and smiled at him. Todrick didn't smile back though, he just grabbed Scott's hand and brought it to his lips for a second. Scott wasn't really paying attention, and he tilted his head slowly at Avi. Scott slowly stood up, and then took a few steps forward to sit on the floor of the bathtub, directly in front of Avi's face. Avi finally moved, pulling his legs up to his chest to set his chin on his own knees. Scott smiled at him, and waved. Avi just stared back at him. Almost like there wasn't anyone behind his eyes. Scott's smile fell a little. "Alpha?" Avi continued to stare. And all Scott could see in his eyes was an empty stage. Curtains open for the show, but the stage remained cold, dark and abandoned. Scott scooted forward a little and grabbed one of Avi's hands. "Alpha, please... You're scaring me."
