Chapter 102
Alex had just come down the stairs, and he smiled. "Hi, Alpha! How are--?" Avi gave him a glare, his eyes still bright red, before giving him a loud, feral snarl and continuing down the hallway. Alex's heart nearly stopped at how scared he was in that moment, Avi's growl immediately reminding him of his past. Jake quickly hopped down each stair to get to Alex, and he hugged him as soon as he could. "What's wrong? You look terrified." Alex didn't hug back. He felt like his muscles were ice cold, and quite possibly would never move again. "A-A-Alpha came by." "Did he say something to you?" Jake asked, being sure to give Alex time to respond this time, learning from past mistakes. Alex just shook his head slowly, his breathing shallow. "No, Sir." Alex suddenly turned to him and pushed him a little. "Please get away... I can't--can't breathe. Please move." Jake took a step back, although he held onto Alex's arm tightly to be sure he wouldn't fall over. "Allie?" Alex shook his head, trying to push Jake's hand off of him. "Please. Please. Stop touching me. Get away from me!" Todrick heard just that last bit of dialogue, and came running. "Alex?!" Alex tried to step away from Jake, and tripped over the last stair on the staircase, which caused several events to fall into place immediately after. Allow me;
First Alex began to fall, causing Jake to grab him again, but the action of Jake holding him caused Alex to pass out in his arms out of pure terror, and then Jake moved him from the stairs to lay him flat on the ground as to not move him and hurt Alex's spine at all. To add to this series, Todrick walked in on that final event, and panicked. He put the things he'd heard Alex yell, together with this sight of Jake laying an unconscious Alex on the ground, and then walked over to shove Jake away from him. Todrick dropped to his knees beside Alex, and first checked his pulse. "Jake, I hope you have a very, very good excuse for this." Jake dropped down beside Todrick. "Avi growled at him, and then all of a sudden, Alex looked like he was going to pass out. And he didn't want me near him, like he got all.. Claustrophobic. He could hardly breathe, that's how scared he was." "Oh no... He used to do that with Travis too..." "And he passed out while we were on the stairs, because I got too close to him, so I put him on the floor so he wouldn't hit his head on one of the stairs." Jake explained in a rush. Todrick nodded, going through a quick routine check up to make sure Alex was still okay. Kirstie walked out of the kitchen, seeing Kevin sat at the table, completely unmoving. She smiled and sat beside him. "Hi, how are you?" Kevin didn't move, staring at the table. "Kirstie... If it's okay... I'd like to be alone right now." Kirstie slowly stood from the table. "Of course. My apologies..." "Not your fault. But... I recommend that you check on Avi. Make sure he's okay." Kirstie nodded, overwhelmed with concern, and quickly walked through the kitchen to get to the hallway. Jake was carefully setting Alex on their bed, as Kirstie walked by their room, but she was too focused on her destination to notice. She walked into her own room and closed the door. Scott and Mitch were blissfully oblivious to all that had happened downstairs, but Mitch was having struggles of his own. He'd had a really hard time getting Scott to strip down, and then an even harder time getting Scott to sit down in the tub without getting his left leg wet. Scott finally got comfortable in the water, Mitch sitting on the ground beside the tub with a hand on Scott's bad leg to keep it from slipping off of the edge of the tub into the bath. Scott was just pouting at the water, not speaking. Mitch tried to give him a smile. "Hey. Do you feel any better now that you're getting all clean and stuff?" "No." "Why not?" "It's no fun in here without you." "It's not supposed to be fun, Alpha. You're just supposed to relax." "I can't relax." "Why not?" "My leg hurts. And you're staring at me." Mitch gently ran his fingernails over Scott's calf, and then down his thigh until the part where Scott's leg met the water, before running back up to where he started. "Sorry." Scott's leg suddenly got goose bumps, as Mitch repeatedly ran his nails over Scott's skin. Scott accidently let out a small laugh. "Stop it, that tickles." Mitch giggled and leaned forward to press a kiss to Scott's knee. "Sorry. I'll stop." Scott smiled at him, and then looked back down, where his hands were folded over his stomach under the water. "Why do you keep avoiding eye contact?" "Because it feels weird... Because I'm naked..." Scott responded with a blush. "We're a married couple, who has made love more than a few times, and yet you still get all sheepish for no reason. I don't understand you, Mr. Grassi-Hoying." Scott blushed even more. "I'm sorry... I just don't like being naked as much as you do."
