Chapter 33
Albert flipped a few more papers, and then grabbed a pen, ready to write. "Alright, Avi. I understand that these are your friends. Your fiancé, even. But I need you to be honest with me. I need you to point out a flaw on each of them. Not a physical thing. Do you see what I'm saying?" Avi nodded slowly. "You know.. I think I changed my mind. I want you guys to leave." Kevin frowned at him. "C'mon, Alpha. You can be honest with us. We're your family." Avi dragged out a long sigh. "Fine. You can stay. But don't get offended. You all know that I love you unconditionally, even with these flaws I'm about to point out. Okay? And Scott, I'm going to say something about Mitchell that you're not going to like. Don't say a word." Scott pretended to zip up his lips, and then set his hand on Mitch's thigh. Avi took a deep breath, squinting at Kevin to think. "Alright well... Let's start with the Beta. Kevin... Well. Honestly, the only thing I can think of is that he rambles sometimes." Kevin shrugged and nodded. Avi turned to Albert and continued. "Well, I mean I'm sure that's typical of Betas. They've got so much knowledge... So much to say." Albert nodded and continued to scribble things down. Avi nodded and then looked at Kirstin. He sighed again, not wanting to have to say anything mean to her. "Well.. Kirstie. Let me see... I don't know. She.. Used to cling to me too much. Like.. She was afraid to be alone. But she doesn't do that anymore.. Does that count?" Albert shrugs. "I guess I can write that down. You're sure you can't think of anything?" Avi shook his head slowly. "I really can't. Sorry." Albert nodded and then pointed at Mitch, who subtly moved closer to Scott. Avi squinted at him in thought. "Let's see. Mitchell, Mitchell, Mitchell... The fact that he depends so much on Scott is a big one. But I guess that's how Alphas and Omegas were intended to work... He has a terrible stutter when he gets scared. There's one for you, Albert." Albert nodded once, writing it down.
Avi finally looked to Scott and smiled. "Ah, Scott. Where to begin? For starters, he always tries to challenge me. We argue, and we fight. All the time, basically. Another one, is that he lets his Omega get away with too much. In fact, all those bruises on his arm are from his Omega holding him too tight. I bet Mitchell doesn't even know that he's the cause of it." Albert nodded and wrote things down for a solid minute, while Mitch looked to Scott with wide eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?"
