Chapter 149

Todrick and Kevin were the first to fall asleep, Kevin holding Todrick tightly so he wouldn't lose him again. The bed beside them was occupied by Alex and Jake, who were just quietly conversing with a single lamp on. Through the open door, Avi and Kirstie were in their own bed, Kirstie half asleep while Avi just held her. Mitch couldn't sleep though. And as much as Scott desperately wanted to sleep, he wanted to be sure that Mitch was asleep first so he wouldn't be lonely. Scott laid flat on his back, while Mitch sprawled himself out, half on top of Scott's body. Mitch kept fidgeting around, unable to get comfortable, until Scott finally had enough and opened his eyes. "Mitchie... Are you okay?" "Yeah. Why?" "You just seem... Too excited." "I'm sorry. I just... Missed you. And I would rather hang out with you than sleep." Scott kissed his forehead. "That's really sweet of you to say, baby. But you need sleep, honey. More than you need me." "That's arguable." Scott smiled, and the arm he had around Mitch began moving up and down in hopes of comforting him. Mitch snuggled into him even more. "Alpha? I wanna tell you something." "Go ahead, honey." "You're... You're so nice to me. And I know you have other things to worry about. But you always put my well being in front of your own. And you always make sure that I'm okay. And.. You always sacrifice things for me... But I want you to know that I see what you do, and I appreciate it a lot." "You don't have to tell me that, baby. I know." "But I... I just want to be sure. You're like... The perfect Alpha. And who cares if you aren't a Lead? Because you're mine. And that's better than anything." He giggled after he spoke, feeling like his point got lost in his humor. Scott smiled at him. "You're not wrong." "And another thing. I don't know what your deal is with being so insecure. You don't have to be skinny to be pretty. You're just... Muscle-y and broad and stuff. Honestly, I wouldn't have you any other way. I can tell when... We shower together. You look at me, and sometimes you have that 'in love' look. But other times you look from me, back to yourself and get this look... Like... I don't know." Scott swallowed awkwardly. "Well... I..." "Don't be weird. I'm just saying. You can waste your time wishing you were someone else, or you can just suck it up and love who you are. Everywhere we go, people hit on you. Why else would they bother, unless you were attractive? Which, you are. If I haven't made that clear." Mitch ranted, while also tracing a circle in Scott's chest with his finger. Scott brought his hand over to Mitch's chin to tilt his head upward, so that Scott could kiss him. Scott pressed his hand even harder against Mitch's back while he kissed him, also managing to slip his hand under Mitch's shirt. Mitch shivered and pulled away. "Sorry... Cold."
