Chapter 52
After lunch, Kevin asked politely to speak with Scott for a few minutes. Alex knew that Mitch would be alone for a bit, so he grabbed the smaller Omega's hand and sat on the couch with him. Mitch was a little tired though, so after a few minutes he laid down with his head in Alex's lap.
Alex kept his eyes on Mitch, carefully brushing his hair to the side every so often. "Are you alright, Mitchie?" "Mhmm. Just a little tired." "I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do?" "Just don't move your legs. You're entirely too comfortable." Alex giggled and nodded, setting his free hand on Mitch's chest. "Okay, I won't." Mitch looked down at Alex's hand, and set his own on top of it. "Does your arm hurt? It's all bruised and stuff..." "Yeah, sometimes. But it isn't so bad. Nothing like how much pain your Alpha must be in." Alex responded, his sympathy conveyed fully in his tone. Mitch blinked at him a few times. "You don't have to compare your pain to someone else's. You can still be in pain even if it isn't as much pain as someone else." Alex nodded quickly, moving Mitch's hair again. "Okay. I won't do it again, I'm sorry." Scott was now seated between Todrick and Kevin at the table, Jake in the kitchen cleaning some of the mugs that were left in the sink. Scott was staring at the paperwork with a blank look on his face. "What am I looking at exactly?" Todrick raised an eyebrow at him. "You see that your name is at the top? Can you read that?" It came out ruder than he'd meant for it to, as he'd only been asking a genuine question. Kevin reached across Scott to pat Todrick's arm a few times. "Calm down, Tod. We're not crunched for time or anything." Scott was still staring at the papers, not really caring what Todrick had said. Kevin reached in front of Scott, turning one of the papers over. "Okay, so. This is who I've invited to your wedding. I have all their names placed in various places to symbolize where they'll be seated at the ceremony. Please fix it to your own standards." Scott only shrugged. "Looks fine. You've got lots of papers here..." Kevin pointed to each one, hoping to convey exactly what he had prepared. "This is for orders of food such as the meal, the cake, the wine... I also have a page here for the decorations. Another page for the music. And this is a receipt for the suit I ordered for you. I need to talk to Mitch about a few things though..." "Things like what?" "Well I wasn't sure if he'd want a suit or a dress. Either is fine, I just wanted to be sure before I ordered anything. Also, I need to ask him, depending on what he's wearing, what he wants his bridesmaids to be wearing." Scott nodded, smiling at the thought of Mitch coming down the aisle in a gorgeous, white wedding gown. "I'd like to sit in on that little discussion if that's okay." "It's actually not, Sir. I'm sorry... I'm not letting him see your suit, and you can't see his dress or suit. One of the rules." "Oh, yeah... Bad luck or something, right?" Upon Kevin's nod, Scott pouted. "Aw. That makes me sad." "He's going to be gorgeous either way." Kevin responded offhandedly, flipping over another paper. Scott grinned at him. "I know... Isn't that amazing? That such a gorgeous man could be all mine?" "You deserve him, just as much as he deserves you. You'll both look amazing... Also Alex begged me to let him be in charge of Mitch's bachelorette party, and he and Kirstie ended up splitting the job so the other wouldn't be left out. And I do believe Avi will be in charge of yours." Scott couldn't wipe the smile off of his face if he tried, but he continued looking through the papers. Kevin continued where he left off. "I have a list of the people I will send the invitations to, as well as the invitations already set up. I'd love for you to take a look at that, to be sure I haven't missed anybody. Also... Neither of you have really said anything about your desired location for this ceremony... So I looked into a few things to narrow it down if you needed some options." Scott took the brochures that were handed to him, as well as the list of people, and the seating chart set up to make sure everyone was seated in places that he liked. Just before he stood up to check these things with Mitch, he smiled at the Beta beside him. "Thank you so much, Kevin... This really means a lot to us. I'll never forget it." Kevin smiled just as wide. "Please, it was my pleasure. Avi hardly let me do anything for his wedding. So this is just... So much fun. And I am so honored that you would entrust me with something as important as this." Scott gave him a hug, before standing from the table to find Mitch. Todrick grinned at Kevin after he left. "You've planned two weddings now. Are you sure you'll still have enough ideas to plan ours?" Kevin didn't even blink at him, let alone move at all. It's possible he even stopped breathing at that moment. "What?" Todrick smirked. "What's wrong? Don't want to get married to me?" "On the contrary." Kevin managed to choke out, still very much in shock after what had just been said to him. "Oh, silly me. Have I not asked you yet?" Todrick teased. Kevin froze again, his heart very literally skipping a beat. "Don't... Don't do that. That's not funny." "Do I look to be joking?" Kevin just shook his head slowly. "You're absolutely unbearable." *********
