Chapter 131
Scott hung up immediately, and Todrick walked past him to head downstairs and check on the Omegas. Scott looked to Kevin. "Alright, Genius. Talk to me." Kevin ran a hand over his face quickly. "Let's see... I suppose with our Pack's inability to fight, we'll just have to hide out in here. They can't possibly wait outside for very long, can they?" "I guess not. I don't know. But... If we stay in here for a few days or whatever... What about Avi and Kirst?" "I guess they'll have some quality time with Grace. There's nothing else we can do." Scott looked down, and clenched his fist once to see how badly it hurt his hand. "Could I try to--?" "No, Alpha. Absolutely not. Pardon my interruption, but you absolutely can not try to take on any Alphas while you're this injured. Even the strongest Alpha can only withstand so much. Your body is going to give out on you." "But if it's for the safety of our Pack, isn't it for the best?" "No." Kevin began to walk toward the staircase, and then walk down the stairs. "Come on, Scott." Scott hurried to follow him, skipping down the stairs behind him. As they reached the last stair, the sound of banging on the door came back again. Scott looked to the door for a second, and then ignored it, hurrying down the hallway into Jake's room. He looked to Jake immediately. "We're going to wait them out until we have a better plan." Kevin walked into the room, his brain on overdrive as he desperately tried to come up with something better. He froze, on the first step he took into the room. "Wait a second..." Scott turned, ready to help with anything Kevin suggested. Kevin looked up to meet his eyes with a wide smile, grateful that he'd come to his conclusion. "May I borrow your phone, Sir?" Scott handed him the phone in his hand with a shrug. "It's not mine. It's Jake's." Jake waved a hand at him. "Irrelevant." Kevin nodded a few times, still smiling, and turned to leave the room. ***********
Scott now had both Todrick and Mitch under his arms as he laid down in the middle of Jake's bed. Todrick had fallen asleep, Scott was halfway there, and Mitch just wanted to lay on Scott, which is plenty reason for Scott to allow him. Alex was on the other side of Todrick, his arm over Todrick's stomach as he too, had fallen asleep. Jake was pacing back and forth in the front of the room, trying to be of as much help to Kevin as he could, although Kevin didn't seem as worried as Jake would have imagined he would be.
