Chapter 80
Mitch had accidently fell asleep in Scott's arms, as comfortable as he was. Scott had only watched him, running one hand through Mitch's purple hair in a gentle way. Scott was finally starting to doze off as well, when Mitch jolted in his arms. Scott opened his eyes a little more, thinking Mitch might be awake. "Honey?" Mitch didn't answer though. But he didn't move again, so Scott closed his eyes once more. Scott was woken up one more time though, when Mitch jumped bad enough to push Scott's arm off of him. Scott frowned. "Mitchie?" Mitch whimpered in response although his eyes stayed closed. Scott pressed a kiss to Mitch's forehead, then his nose, and his cheek. "Mitchie. Wake up, Sweetheart. It's just a dream." Tears began steadily flowing down Mitch's cheeks, but he still refused to awaken. Finally, Scott cleared his throat, and tried to channel the Alpha voice inside of him. He had a little bit of trouble, because of how long it had been since he'd used that specific voice. "Mitchell. Wake up." He snarled directly into Mitch's ear. Mitch jumped awake, grabbing Scott's shirt as quickly as he could. He whined loudly, tears still in his eyes. Scott hugged him as tightly as he could. "Aw... Are you okay? Did you have a nightmare, my love?" Mitch nodded his head with a pout, burying his head in Scott's chest. "Mhmm." "Want to talk about it?" "No, thank you. Maybe later. Is that... Okay?" "Of course it is, baby. Are you sure you're okay?" "Yes, Sir. Thank you." Avi knocked on the door suddenly, and Scott knew it was him because of how loud he knocked. Scott shouted towards the door, hiding Mitch as much as he could with his own body. "Come in, Av." Avi opened the door quickly. "Is everything okay? You sounded angry." "You could not possibly have heard me all the way downstairs." Scott argued. "No, but Alexander's eyes went blue for no reason, and Kirstie could feel the power behind your voice even from downstairs. Now. What's wrong?" Scott put a hand on the back of Mitch's head to keep him hidden. "He just had a nightmare. I had to 'Alpha' to wake him up. My apologies, I didn't mean to affect the Omegas downstairs too." Avi took a small step forward. "Mitchell? Is everything okay?" Mitch's body was trembling a little, but he moved away just enough to see Avi. "Yes, Sir. I'm fine. Thank you." Avi squinted at him, but decided against pressing the subject. *********
Alex and Jake were now alone on the couch, finally watching a movie that Jake wanted rather than one that Alex wanted. Simply because Alex ran out of movie ideas. But Jake never minded, because anything that made Alex happy, made Jake happy. Jake watched mostly horror movies however, but Alex said he'd be fine. Alex lied, of course, but he didn't really mean to. Jake was sitting on the couch, leaning back as far as he could while Alex sat between his legs. Alex had himself leaned against Jake's shoulder, while Jake set his head on Alex's shoulder. Alex held onto Jake's hand, trying to be brave, and very grateful that Jake couldn't see his face so Jake had no idea when Alex closed his eyes in fear. Or so he thought. Jake knew each and every time that Alex was afraid, because his nose was extremely close to Alex's neck, where his Omega scent originated. Alex accidently jumped at one part, and he knew that Jake felt it, so he cringed. "Oh, sorry. Sorry." "It's fine, Allie. We don't have to watch this if you don't want to." "No, I... I actually really like scary movies, I just... Get scared easily." Alex mumbled the end of his sentence quietly. Jake set one hand on Alex's thigh. "Baby... It's okay. You should've just told me. We can watch something else." "I would like to watch this please, Alpha." Alex responded softly. Jake paused the movie quickly, and then wrapped his arms around Alex's midsection. "Allie... I want to tell you something." "Of course, Sir." "I have a problem with... Your behavior. You're so nice that I never know if you're being honest with me. I don't know if you're telling me the truth, or just being kind. And I... I don't want you to ever lie to me. Please feel free to always tell me the truth, even if you don't think it's kind." Alex leaned back enough to meet his eyes. "Okay. Yes, Sir. I promise." "Thank you, babe." "You're welcome. So... For starters... I really do like scary movies. I swear that I do. But I just didn't want to embarrass myself because I know that I'm like.. Easily scared. And... Jumpy."
