Chapter 15 Luxury

Julia remained in the living room for the next few hours... a part of my mind kept going back to Damon and what he was doing. he said he had to leave for work... what did he do for work? she wondered... he must be working at a very high-end company or probably it was much more than that for him to afford such a place, she thought... Staying in the same place for so long got her curious... she got up from the comfortable couch she was sitting on and decided to look around... The more she walked around, the more she realised how beautiful and big the house was... The were two rooms, but on the side of the house and one of the doors was locked, so she checked only one but it was empty... she walked to the front door of the house and stood there for a few seconds... was that man still there.... wouldn't he get tired of standing for so long...she thought and walked back into the house... She was soon done with touring the downstairs of the house, and what was left was upstairs... she stood at the foot of the stairs, staring at it silently before her eyes travelled to the front door... she felt like she was doing what she wasn't supposed to do. But it was hard for her not to be curious.... she would take a quick peek, she convinced herself in her mind as she started to walk up the stairs... like the downstairs of the house. The upstairs was equally beautiful...the interior was similar, but instead of just two rooms, the upstairs of the penthouse had five more rooms.... one of the rooms was located close to the stairs and like the other room had been empty, this room was also empty.. she wondered why the house had two empty room, but she remembered Damon saying something about not really residing there... did it mean he had another house that was similar to this, she thought... she moved on to the next room and this one wasn't empty... instead it had a bed that was neatly made and a walk-in closet... she didn't stay long in this room because it didn't look like it was used... all she could do was admire how spacious each of the room was...
