Chapter 26 Curiosity

Damon sighed deeply as he stared at the busy street of Everton... his eyes were on the street, but his mind was somewhere else... although he had made a decision not to see her for a while, a part of him was regretting that decision now because he was curious to know what she was doing... did she wonder where he was... how was she getting prepared... did she have lunch yet? Those were the thoughts that were plaguing his mind every waking moment... a sound in the background broke him out of his reverie and brought him back to reality... Damon turned to look behind him and found John in his office staring at him... John immediately started to act like he was busy with something when Damon caught him staring at him intently, that curious look on his she's back... Damon knew that looked well... it was the look he had when he was overly curious about something but was hesitant to ask... Damon sighed deeply as he walked back to his chair and took a seat... He tried to continue with his work on his computer, but John's presence and piecing gaze were hard to ignore...
