Chapter 7 Fear

Lia's eyes were filled with tears as she sat in a car with two of Charlie's men sitting beside her and two more at the front. Her body trembled with fear the more they inched closer to where they were going, and a part of her regretted betraying Julia because of how scared she was. "I called Charlie up myself. Please!" she said in a trembling voice, but the men said absolutely nothing to her, which made her feel even worse. She felt like throwing up, and when the car finally came to a halt after hours of driving, her stomach churned... "Move!" one of the men said to her in a voice that was chiller than ice, and with tears in her eyes, she did as he said and came out of the car... Her head was hung low as they walked towards a house that was built in the middle of nowhere. Lia quickly noticed that there was no other house around, and this increased her distance as she walked in front of the man towards the house. When they got to the front door, they yelped when the man knocked on the door... Her heart kept dropping with each passing second, and they had to wait for a few seconds before the door was finally opened from the inside... the man pushed her roughly into the house, and Lia bit her lips as she tried to hold back the more tears that were threatening to escape her eyes... now wasn't the time to cry. Now was the time to think of a way out from the mess that she had made for herself... "Where is the boss?" The man who took her in asked a bulky-looking man who opened the door for them... She could feel the man's piercing gaze as he stared at her from her head to her toe, and it made her uncomfortable... she raised her head slowly to look at him, and the smile in had on his face as he stared at her made her want to throw up... she felt more than disgusted, but the man didn't seem to care about that... "He is waiting," " the man said in a deep voice. "Keep walking,", the man behind her said and grabbed her arm roughly, causing Lia to win as she was led into the living room. No one was in the living room when they walked in, but they urged her to keep walking and she was led into a dining room as soon as Lia walked in her heart completely dropped when her eyes fell on Charles... she felt her stomach churn, and her body started to tremble when his eyes landed on her and a smile graced his face... she was completely terrified...
