"I want you to be my wife Julia..." Damon added in case she didn't hear what he had asked the first time because of how she was looking at him. He wasn't joking... Julia stared at his face, which looked nothing but serious... he was serious and not actually joking like she had thought... his wife? How could he ask her that? Was he crazy? What was happening? Everything felt like a dream, but not a good one, a confusing one... Damon was quiet as he waited for her response... he didn't have time... But she was the perfect candidate for him... one who couldn't easily betray him...if he could convince her, then he had only a few weeks to turn her into his perfect bride... one who would help him carry out his original plan... he was glad he took a shortcut that day... "You must be thinking if I am crazy... well I am, but the good kind of crazy... I'm asking you to marry me because of a good reason and trust me, you will be well compensated... I can protect you... you can live here, I can give you anything you ask for... all you have to do is say yes and then we can start talking..." Julia stared at the man who just admitted that he was insane. Yes, he was right... she ran her hand through her hair and tugged on it a little, trying to think of a reason why someone like him would ask someone like her to marry him. He said he had a good reason, but she still couldn't get past his bizarre proposal and the thought of marriage scared her, so she did the only thing she could think of...
