Chapter 6 Care

Julia wasn't sure if it would be a wise decision to tell Damon what had happened to her. She was still trying to recover from Lia's betrayal and was afraid she was going to fall right into another trap. So she decided to tell him vaguely about what was going on. "My father owes them some money, but things got a little out of hand, and they tried to take me," She explained in a low voice, her eyes travelling to her fingers that she was fiddling nervously with. Damon's eyes were on Julia, and his brain was calculating. He knew she was telling him the entire truth, but he decided not to ask... "You can spend a night here," He said, and Julia finally raised her eyes to look at him. "No, I should get going," She said, and her hand fisted beside her. She was ready to leave, even though she was more than frightened to step back out into the open. The thought of Charlie's men finding her made her feel sick... "It will be dark outside soon. You can stay the night here. You and I can talk better tomorrow. You don't have to worry. You will be safe here, " Damon assured her, his green eyes filled with curiosity as he stared into her brown ones... she might have been trying to hide it, but he could see the fear in her eyes. He wasn't sure if she realised it, but her hands were trembling a little... Julia swallowed. She wanted to decline his offer, but couldn't she was sure Charlie's men couldn't just barge into such a place and like Damon had assured her she was truly safe... tomorrow, she could think about what to do, but first, she wanted to take a long nap to clear her raging heart and heart... how could she say no to such a tempting offer even though it was from a stranger. He had saved her.
