Chapter 59

"Christopher..." Angelica breathed out like a prayer once she caught sight of him, her heart pounding erratically. As always he looked breathtaking. His tall frame leaned against the rusty swing set, both hands tucked into his pocket. She could tell from the tenseness of his frame that he had seen her, and without meaning to, she smiled even though tears had formed in her eyes. Christopher finally pushed himself off the swing set, and took cautious calculated steps towards her and into the light reflecting from the street lamp.
