Lily strutted into the boardroom with square shoulders and her head held high, but despite her disposition her insides were a mess. Her heart was pounding erratically and with how quiet the room got when she walked in, she suspected that everyone else could hear the sound of her heartbeats. This was her first time handling something like this and her mind has already conjured up a million and one way she could mess it all up, but Asher's confidence in her had her putting one leg before the other till she finally took a seat, the seat Asher was meant to occupy.
