Chapter 7 The Divorce Agreement, Just Sign It
Bianca exploded curses. Her face twisted in jealousy, making her look both furious and terrifying.
Evelyn remained unfazed and offered a calm smile. "As Adrian’s wife, I’m more than happy to help him unwind."
"You... Evelyn, you’re shameless!" Bianca snapped.
"Not as shameless as you, Bianca. To marry Adrian, you even stooped to drugging him. Is it because he won’t touch you willingly when he’s sober?"
Bianca’s face froze, as if Evelyn had struck a nerve. However, she quickly composed herself with smug confidence. "Of course, Adrian loves being with me. He’s absolutely obsessed! Every night, we’re together. Unlike you, playing the role of a lonely widow every day."
Every word from Bianca was laced with venom. As she spoke, she took out a document and threw it at Evelyn.
"Adrian told me to hand this divorce agreement to you. Sign it as soon as possible. He doesn't want to see you, this tacky, wild tramp ever again!"
Evelyn, who had barely maintained a carefree façade, froze when she saw the divorce agreement.
Divorce.
Adrian wanted a divorce.
It was as if Evelyn had been plunged into an icy abyss. The cold was so intense that every cell in her body ached.
She had anticipated this day, but she never expected it to come so soon.
Adrian loved Bianca. In this cruel game of love, Evelyn was destined to be the loser, utterly defeated.
Seeing the color drain from Evelyn’s face, Bianca let out a triumphant laugh. "Evelyn, look at yourself! You’re so plain and pathetic. Adrian could never love someone like you. He's told me many times that you’re the most disgusting, shameless woman he’s ever met. Marrying you was the biggest mistake of his life!"
Bianca leaned in closer and disdainfully glanced at Evelyn, who was looking down at the divorce agreement.
She sneered, her arrogance even more pronounced. "You’re nothing but a shameless tramp! Sign those papers and get out of Velmorra. If I see you again, I’ll have Adrian beat you up!"
"Hmph."
Suddenly, Bianca heard Evelyn let out a low chuckle.
The next moment, Evelyn grabbed the divorce agreement and, with a few swift motions, tore it into pieces. She threw the shredded paper into Bianca’s face.
"Just as you told Adrian, even if I die, I’ll haunt him. You want me to divorce Adrian? Dream on!" Evelyn sneered.
"What?!" Bianca was stunned, her shock quickly turning to rage. "Evelyn, you dare speak to me like that? You’re asking for it!"
Revealing her true nature, Bianca raised her hand, ready to slap Evelyn. But before she could, Evelyn reacted faster, using all her strength to slap Bianca instead.
"Listen closely, Bianca. I will never divorce Adrian! I’ll expose your true colors to him. A scheming, malicious woman like you doesn’t deserve Adrian!" As she finished speaking, Evelyn’s whole body trembled.
The moment she realized she was just a pawn in Bianca’s schemes, she completely gave up on their sisterly bond.
No, there had never been any sisterhood or family bonds. Only pretense and calculated manipulation.
"Evelyn, how dare you hit me!" Bianca shrieked, her face contorted with fury. "You’ll regret this!"
Pointing angrily at Evelyn, Bianca stormed out of the room.
Evelyn didn't care at all. She sat back on the bed.
But it wasn’t long before Bianca returned to the ward. This time, she collapsed onto the floor dramatically, clutching her face as if utterly aggrieved.
"Evelyn, please don’t do this. It’s all my fault. Don’t be mad at me. Blame me, but don’t take it out on the child in my womb. This is Adrian’s baby."
What?
Evelyn was utterly confused. The next moment, she saw a figure standing in the doorway and immediately understood what was going on.
