Mateo gazed at Miracle, who was fast asleep in his embrace. He noticed her swollen eyes. Mateo's heart ached at the sight of Miracle's puffy eyes from crying because of him. He should always bring happiness to Miracle, but instead, he had hurt her. Truly, he deeply regretted it. If only he had realized his feelings earlier, he wouldn't have caused such deep wounds to his wife. Now, Mateo gently stroked Miracle's cheek with his hand.
