Chapter 48 Seeing Red

Several dresses were laid out on her king-sized bed. Queen Leah looked down at them with her nose wrinkled in disgust. Her eyes moved from the golden dress, which had even more gold than fabric, to the royal purple dress. The royal purple color could only be gotten from a rare type of sea snail. Mere drops of the ink cost a fortune, and this made the dress, which was adorned in the purple ink, a priceless one. Despite her look, Queen Leah could not deny that these were amazing dresses. She had received them from Princess Leslie, whom she had almost killed as a gift from her father, King Roy. The Alpha wished for her to put one of them on for the marriage ceremony the next day. Queen Leah only looked at them with disgust because King Roy had yet to show his face to her and he lacked the decency to give her the gifts himself. Is he hiding something, or does he simply feel too important?! We are both on the same level, so we are equals! The Queen thought to herself.
