Chapter 87 Mountain Conversation

The wind sent strings of Ashina's hair up in the air. Her whole hair could not be lifted as it had grown longer and heavier. Decker's auburn, short and curly hair didn't escape getting ruffled by the wind either. They hadn't seen each other in quite a while. When she approached him and asked for a walk, it took everything to keep him from mirroring the actions of his heart-dancing in delight. Princess Ashina sat at the edge of the mountain's cliff, and Decker stood behind her, his eyes not leaving the back of her head. The Athens warrior forced down a gulp of saliva. His excitement wore off as he saw that Ashina didn't quite look like she shared it. This greatly saddened him. He had not seen her in about a fortnight. He expected liveliness from her. Instead, their walk up to this mountain had been in silence. They had been at the top for several moments now, and Ashina had not made a sound. There was a lot Decker wished to talk about, but seeing as she didn't seem gleeful, he decided it was best to wait until she spoke, even though his patience was running thin.
