With Ashina's palms on Decker's chest, she felt how hard his heart pounded. The worried look on his face showed that he was not sure about what she wanted them to do. Ashina had successfully stopped him from arguing, and this made her glad. She loved Decker with all of her heart. There was no place at all for Juan in it, and she needed Decker to understand this. No matter how polite Juan got, no matter what gift he gave her, he was never going to get any of the love she had for Decker. Her heart pounded even harder than Decker's. This was wild, of course.
