The next day came quicker than Aila expected; the morning sun shining through the window of the cell. She had expected someone to visit her, probably Darya to gossip or Nira and Laina to come and feed her, but no one came. The guards served her food, slamming the door shut in her face before she could even say anything. The morning passed, followed by the afternoon, with no sign of anyone.
