“The king was poisoned,” The doctor said as he stepped out of the room, his eyes scanning everyone. Aila’s heart dropped to the bottom of her stomach, her ears in pure disbelief at what he just said. It was late at night already, and everyone was outside the King's room, waiting for a response. She had not sniffed him or even seen him ever since they took him out of the field. She could hear the loud mutters from the other Lords, but her mind was too far from it.
