Chapter 40

Elder Charles stormed angrily into his house, slamming the door shut as he made way to Darya’s room, opening the door and dragging her out of bed. Before she could react to whatever was going on, he landed a slap on her cheeks, her eyes widening instantly, “Have you seen what you caused, you mad mad girl?” he yelled, running his hand through his hair. He started pacing back and forth, his veins bulging on his head, throat, and everywhere visible. He was angry, more than angry. He has never been in this position before in his entire life.
