Chapter 5 Delivering a Coffin
Despite having billions in assets, VitaNova Pharmaceuticals paled in comparison to the unbeatable Xaiden Sallen. Furthermore, the family behind VitaNova Pharmaceuticals was unworthy of Xaiden's consideration.
Soon, a middle-aged man dressed in a black suit and slightly overweight strolled in after Sean. He was Thane Everett, a member of the Everett Family from Goldenia and the manager of VitaNova Pharmaceuticals in Josenz.
"My Lord!" When Thane saw Xaiden, he kneeled down and trembled violently. Xaiden's reputation was well-known in Summerton—the God of Death, a soul reaper on the battlefield. Thane couldn't stop himself from breaking out in a cold sweat now that he stood in front of Xaiden.
"Are you the person in charge of VitaNova Pharmaceuticals?" Xaiden regarded the individual kneeling on the ground with indifference.
Thane's tone became even more courteous following that. "I am Thane Everett. Greetings, my Lord!"
"Rise. My wife will be visiting VitaNova Pharmaceuticals tomorrow to sign a one billion dollar contract. You know what to do. Remember, my wife's name is Melody Torris," Xaiden added coldly.
“Yes, my Lord! Even if it's worth 10 billion dollars, I'll personally handle it." Sweat dripped down Thane's brow, but he dared not move.
Xaiden dismissed Thane with a wave of his hand. "Alright, you may leave now."
Thane was already drenched with sweat as he left Yuniza Estate. It felt as if he had just confronted death. Being a part of the Everett Family gave him a distinguished position in Josenz. Even the Four Great Families of Josenz would show him the highest respect. But in front of Xaiden, he was like an ant: easily squashed and worthless. That was because he understood how terrible the invincible Sallen was. The finest in Northernvale and the Invincible War God, Xaiden Sallen, had scared away fifteen leaders from neighboring countries with his mere presence.
Back at Yuniza Estate, Xaiden started a cigarette.
"What's the latest news about the Four Great Families?" Xaiden stared at Sean and inquired.
"Tomorrow marks the 80th birthday of the Watson Family patriarch, Harrison Watson. It will be held at Cloud Group," Sean stated.
"Cloud Group?" When Xaiden heard that, his eyes narrowed immediately. He was the one who started Cloud Group, but that evil woman, Winnie Watson, and his best friend, Benedict Wayne, plotted to take it over.
Xaiden carefully rose from his seat, his body full of murderous intent. "Prepare a coffin. We're going to Cloud Group," Xaiden instructed. It was time to put his revenge plan into action.
…
The Watson Family, Josenz's top family, ascended to prominence in an instant thanks to the fortune they seized from the Sallen Family. By this moment, their assets had surpassed billions.
On the other hand, Cloud Group's facility was well-lit. All of Josenz's powerful personalities had already come to celebrate Harrison's 80th birthday.
"Hartriden Group's Mr. Olson presents a pair of gold turtles worth 6.66 million to wish Old Mr. Watson a long and prosperous life!"
"Tolrose International's Mr. Altman presents an immortality mushroom worth 7.77 million to wish Old Mr. Watson good health and many children!"
"The Whitfield Family of Josenz presents the painting 'Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains' worth 8.88 million to wish Old Mr. Watson a long and healthy life!"
The host held the microphone and continued to read the list of gifts. Even the Torris Family, who had fallen to second-class status in Josenz, had spent a large sum of money to purchase gifts and have them sent here.
Inside Cloud Group's lobby, Harrison, the Watson Family patriarch, was dressed in a deep red suit. He sat contentedly in the magnificent chair, shaking hands and conversing with the people who had come to celebrate his birthday. The entire building had a serene feeling.
Just then, a guy came in, dressed in a death mask and a black jacket.
"What are you here for?" The security guy at the entry halted him instantly.
"I'm here to deliver a gift!" With a wave of his hand, four guys emerged from behind, carrying a huge cardboard box into the building and placing it on the ground.
Everyone turned to look, intrigued by what was inside the big box. Typically, birthday presents were small and elegant, but this one was abnormally huge.
"What's inside?" The security guard questioned Xaiden.
Bam! Xaiden lifted his hand and gently touched the cardboard box, causing it to explode and reveal the black thing inside.
"It's... a coffin!"
Everyone was surprised to discover what was inside the cardboard box. They opened their eyes in amazement when they saw the casket. The patriarch of the Watson Family was celebrating his 80th birthday today, but then an individual wearing the mask came and delivered a casket.
Bang! Xaiden kicked the coffin, propelling it directly into the heart of Cloud Group's lobby.
When Harrison, who was merrily speaking with numerous visitors, noticed the casket, his face became pale. "Who did this? How could someone raise problems here? Where are the security guards? Arrest the troublemaker!" Harrison sprang up and shouted aggressively.
"Harrison Watson, this casket was constructed specifically for you. Try it on to see how it fits." Xaiden stared at Harrison and said harshly.
"How daring of you! Who dares to provoke the Watsons? Do you want to die?" Burle Watson, Harrison's third son, moved up and punched Xaiden. He was a skilled martial artist who could destroy a wall with a single punch.
Without looking, Xaiden grabbed out and violently twisted Burle's arm, quickly shattering it. Then he kicked Burle, sending him flying. The impact caused Burle's chest to cave, creating a gash in his torso and scattering his internal organs over the ground. Finally, he lay on the ground, dead.
The visitors couldn't help but cover their lips, their faces going pale with horror. They were regular individuals who had never witnessed such a horrific event. Someone was kicked to death in a matter of minutes.
After then, Xaiden acted as if nothing had occurred. He clapped his hands as he marched forward, but each stride pushed everyone back.
Harrison stood on the podium, shaking from terror. He hurriedly groped for his waistband, where a revolver was concealed.
"Kneel!" Xaiden commanded. Harrison's thoughts became blank as his legs weakened, leading him to kneel on the ground automatically.
