Chapter 25 Heartache!

Decker was happy that he had now been relieved of his security duties as it was now midday. He walked to the Warriors' Block to rest in his room. He was soaked in sweat as he had to patrol the palace compound under the blazing sun. He approached the block and heard loud cheers coming from it. Puzzled by what could have been going on inside, Decker accelerated his walk out of curiosity. He was closer to the block now, and he could hear what the warriors inside were talking about. Oh no, not now! Decker thought to himself as he began to run. Ever since the Arthenish warriors arrived at Scyta, they had been made to share the Scytan warrior blocks with the Scytan warriors, as there were no empty warrior blocks. Since the two parties had always been wary of each other and failed to meet on a good note, fights between Scytan and Arthenish warriors were not scarce at all. One of those was ongoing, and Decker rushed in to stop it. He arrived at the passage which separated the Scytan part of the block from the Arthenish part. In the middle of this passage stood the Scytan and Arthenish soldiers who were about to exchange fists—and then, maybe claws and canines. They were less than an inch away from each other. Decker saw that in less than a jiffy, one of these two men was going to attack.
