Chapter 13 Decker's Rage

Slowly, Ashina slid her back down the wall and sat on the ground. Still panting heavily, she placed her arms on her knees and rested her head on them. She was having a hard time believing that she was still alive. Moments ago, she had looked death in the face and, by some kind of miracle, she escaped its embrace. She could not comprehend it. Her claws retracted and so did her fangs. Her hair returned to its original length. She had lost the strength to maintain her iota form. "What did you do to her?! How dare you?" Decker screamed at the top of his voice with rage at the Prince who was exiting the room. Two Scytan guards restrained him by trapping both of his arms behind him. He did all he could to wriggle himself out of their firm grasp, but it was all to no avail. Prince Juan stopped on his way out and took a look at Decker. With his nose wrinkled, he looked at him with disgust. With his brows pulled close together and the gnashing of his teeth, Decker looked back at him angrily and fearlessly. The two men held a stare for a moment, and then Juan departed.
