Alicia tossed and turned on the bed, Shawn’s words ringing in her mind. She can’t understand why she can’t tell him that she was planning on divorcing Leo. Why was it so hard to say? Could it be because she doesn’t want to divorce Leo? No, she sat up on her bed, she wants to divorce him, she yearns for it, even having Shawn introduce her as a Luna to his soldiers, meaning that she was married to an alpha, made her feel uncomfortable. She could have easily told Shawn that she was going to ask for a divorce from the King as well as plead to be made the alpha of her pack, but she didn’t. She didn’t tell him; she had nodded at his words, gotten up, and left his office. He had let her go, surprising her. And that scar line on his cheek, she still wants to trace it, to caress it, even her yearning surprises her too. Just what is it about him?
