Chapter 58
I sat at the dinner table with Wesley to my right, Andrew and Ellen right before me. The food was being in eaten in such a awkward silence I wanted to rip my hair out. I pursed my lips as I looked up every once in a while, catching Ellen's eye more than once. "So, you're names Ellen?" I tried at least, her eyes widening as I spoke. "Yeah, and I just wanted to say I'm nothing like my-" "Don't you dare speak his fucking name in this house." Wesley growled, his eyes flickering between blue and black. I grabbed his hand when his claws started to elongate, and his canines began extending. "Wesley, clam down." He picked me up and placed me in his lap, clutching onto my body as he smelt my skin. "It's fine Ellen, I understand." "I know, I just didn't know he was going to do any of the things he did. He told me you were his mate-" "She is MINE. NO ONE ELSES BUT MINE." I kissed Wesley all over his face and neck, making sure to pay attention to my mark. He began breathing a bit slower, his eyes shutting as he calmed down a bit. "Ellen, maybe we shouldn't talk about this." Andrew said as he held her hand, looking at her warily. I knew he loved her, but I felt like this was holding him back from marking her and giving me rices and nephews. I liked kids when I could give them back, kids that come out of me are a big nu-uh." "It's fine, really. I'm not saying it'll be easy, because no offense, you look so much like him." She really did. They both had the same facial structure and hair texture, but their eyes were exactly the same. That was the worst, I just remember his eyes staring at me in that basement. He wouldn't say anything, just stare at me until I would break down even worse than I already was. They were this weird shade of Amber brown, on her they looked kind and welcoming, on him they looked sinister and cold. "Emilia," I felt a hand on my arm, causing me to jump. I looked up to find everyone's eyes on me, my face flushing. "I'm sorry." I muttered, shaking Wesleys hand off of me as I stood. I brought my plate into the kitchen and stared out the wonder above the sink, smiling a little as I watched the children play. "Emilia?" I turned to find Andrew standing in the doorway, his eyes full of concern and worry. "Are you alright?" I chuckled, turning back to face the window again. "You're seriously asking if I'm alright? I got fucking kidnapped, tortured, and almost raped a week ago and you're asking if I'm alright?" He came forward and reached out to touch me, causing me to flinch back against the cabinets. He looked crushed at my actions, guilt seeping in and attacking my senses. "Emilia, I'm sorry I didn't protect you." "Andrew," I took a step closer to him despite my screaming brain telling me not to. "It isn't your fault, it's no ones fault except my mother and that mutt." "Yes it is Emilia! I couldn't protect you from your mom, I should've protected you from him! I was there that night, I knew how he looked at you!" I pulled him closer to me as a stray tear shed from his eyes, resting my heart on his chest. "Andrew, I'm okay. I've been through this for years, and now it's my turn to be happy. I get to grow old with Wesley, maybe pop out a kid or two, and finally get to paint all I want. The walls in this house are practically begging me to pain on them. It's my turn for a happy ending and I don't want Alpha Dickwad to get in my way." "Alpha Dickwad?" Andrew laughed as he asked, pushing a piece of hair behind my ear. "It's what I called him to piss him off even more, probably wasn't my best judgement, but I didn't care." He let out a laugh that sounded so much like mine it freaked me out. We sound almost exactly the same, snort and all. "Emilia." I turned to Wesleys voice, his eyes softening when he saw my tear stained cheeks. God was he beautiful, and it seemed like the Goddess proved it to me every time she got a chance. This was my happy ending, he was my happy ending, I couldn't care how many times I had to say it, he truly was.
