Chapter 12
The day turns to be uneventful. Wesley kept a really close eye on me, along with James and Andrew. It seems they don't know what I am, Wesley seemingly not even sensing me. I had been walking down the hallway while they were speaking in an empty classroom, with the bloody door not fully closed as well! "She doesn't have a smell, and she noticed us mindlinking earlier. Something is off Wesley." Wesley growled at James, his deep rumble sending my heart racing. "She is perfect, I don't know what the hell you're insinuating-" "What if she's a hunter?" I heard something crash in the room, before the sound of skin upon skin. It took minutes before James pulled them apart, it seems Wesley punched Andrew for his comment, sending me running as the lights flipped off and the door began to open. I was at my house right now, praying my mother doesn't smell the medicine I put in her bottle. I had to knock her out in order to go to the game, tomorrow I could play it off and say I was going to the library or job hunting, but tonight she needed to sleep.
I watched warily as she took a sip from her bottle, pausing before she took a huge swig from it. I shut my eyes, pressing my forehead against the cabinet in front of me while she tumbled into the living room. I waited close to an hour for her screams and cries to finally die out, my head peeking around the corner to find her passed out cold with her bottle on the it's side on the ground. I walked upstairs as quiet as I could, slipping on black ripped jeans and a black long sleeve shirt as well as my famous combat boots. I walked down the steps, muttering to myself as I gave myself a scent, one of coffee and mint and the salt from the ocean, almost identical to my mate. I figured if I smelt of him, the rival schools wolves wouldn't mess with me.
God was I wrong.
