Chapter 15
"That's the story, now you know everything." I spoke, pulling up my knees to my chest.
"That doesn't explain everything." I looked back to him with furrowed eyebrows, his eyes boring holes into my legs and shoulders.
I glanced down to see my bruises and scars on full display, yellow and green with how advanced the healing was. "Andre-" "Are you being, being-"
I put my hand over his mouth, shutting my eyes as I curled into myself. "Just tell me Emilia, are you being abused?"
I always wished it was a human that would say that too me. Someone she couldn't get even more mad about taking me away from her, someone she couldn't kill. Someone that would take me away and give me the happy ending I always wanted so desperately.
"Andrew, I'm sorry." I heard him shift next to me and leave the bed, opening my eyes to find him kneeling in front of me. He shook his head at me, his hand grasping mine.
"We can get you out-"
"No! If I leave, she'll kill all of you, she'll kill Wesley." My wolf howled in agony within me at the mere thought of her mate being hurt.
"That's bullshit!"
"Please!" Something about the agony in my voice must have made something snap within him. He took a breath before slowly nodding, his blue eyes looking back to me.
"Leave your mindlink open for me. If it ever gets too bad, call me. I will always come running, okay?" Something about Andrew made him feel like the brother I never had, like he was a missing puzzle piece in my broken and fucked up family.
Andrews eyes darken as he looked at my thighs and my wrists. "These," he ran his thumb down the jagged scars. "These are not abuse scars."
I ripped my wrist away from his touch, shame and guilt filling my body until I was practically drowning in it. "I'm really sorry."
He stood up, walking across the room as he grasped a vase. He flung it and smashed it against the wall next to me, my body involuntarily shaking as his rage rolled from him.
I inched farther away from him, the movement catching his wolves eye. He turned and began to walk to me, causing me to flinch against the wall.
His eyes softened and turned back to ocean blue, his body sitting back on the bed. He lay back, his legs still over the side as I took deep breaths.
After close to ten minutes I walked back over to him, the bass from the music below shaking the floor under my bare feet. I lay on the opposite side, my head placed next to his.
"Do you know his name?"
I looked to him with scrunched eyebrows, confusion written clear along my face. "Who's name?"
"Your father."
I nodded slowly, breathing out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.
"His name is Everette Collins."
Andrew went rigid beside me, his muscles completely tense. I sat up, pulling myself to where I was leaning against the headboard behind me.
"What is it Andrew?"
He sat up and stood to his feet, pacing around the bed. He shook his head, looking like he was deep in thought. Either that or he was speaking with his wolf.
He stopped suddenly and came right before me, his eyes staring back at my own. That's when something clicked, my eyes widening as I took in the color of his irises.
They were the same green emerald eyes as my own, my wolf shouting inside my head.
'That's him! He's our brother! He's half of us! He is he is!'
