Chapter 37
"Mom, i didn't have a choice. He didn't let me, I'm so sorry." I squeezed my eyes shut as she dragged me down the stairs to the basement, flinging me to the ground before chaining me up to the same familiar post. "This is all your fault, you don't even deserve a mate. Because of you, he will feel every hit I'm about to give you." I built up the wall to him as much as I could before the whip sliced through my skin, a cry of pain leaving me. I felt the wall crumbling with every hit, every ounce of blood I lost I became weaker and weaker until he walk was simply a single cement block. I could feel his wolf on the other side, feel how utterly guilty and sad he felt. With another hit it fell and Wesleys presence became known in my head, my eyes glazing over and shining white as I saw his room. That's another reason I'm stronger than my mother, I don't always need the seer pools. He shot up from his bed, his eyes wide and bloodshot. He hadn't shaved in days, his hair greasy and matted to his head. He looked so tired and pale it broke my heart even more, and it became evened worse when he let out a cry of pain as the whip hit my back. 'Wesley go to sleep. Please, build up a wall and block me out.'
He shook his head as he got out of bed stumbling, grimacing as another rack of sobs hit me. Pain radiated as she hit me, not even bothering to aim anymore. 'No, this is my fault. I saw the signs, I just ignored them because I didn't think. This is my fault, all my fault.'
