Chapter 33
I slowly made my way back to the hotel and slipped in, avoiding any contact with the boys. I opened my room and slid of out of my clothes and into the dress. I stared at my body in the mirror while my phone buzzed, my eyes trained on a small scar right along my collar bone. My mother had seen my eyes that had glowed as my wolf tried to come out, one of the many times she had grown sick of the way we were treated. She guzzled whatever was left in her whiskey bottle and broke it across my skin, and kept crunching the grass into my skin until I was on the ground and bleeding out. I missed school for close to two weeks. I finally opened my phone to a text from James telling me they were already in the lobby before slipping it into a small clutch, my feet sliding into a pair of white converses. As much as I liked heels and sandals, I couldn't even walk in heels, and hadn't thought to pack sandals. I was just glad my feet were completely covered by the tulle. I made my way to the elevator and walked in to find the creepy receptionist from earlier standing in the corner, his eyes trained on me the moment the doors slid close. I shifted closer to the door, my fingers clenching and unclenching as I tried to not panic, his breathing filling the awkward silence. "What's a pretty thing like you doing with a dumb Alpha?" My eyes widened at his words, how did he know what Wesley was?
I sniffed the air as nonchalantly as I could, but came up with nothing but the smell of motor oil and gasoline. He was desperately trying to hide his smell, but what was he? As soon as the door opened I rushed out, only to be thrown back a few feet to have him pin me to the wall. He hit a button on the elevator that shut the doors as an alarm went off, my eyes widening "You didn't answer me." "Let me the fuck go, or I will kill you. Although, maybe I should call that Alpha you seem to be so afraid of, he happens to be my mate you know." I growled out, his eyes widening as his face paled. "I'm assuming you're a Rogue? The alarm is probably already freaking him out." As I spoke a loud crash hit the doors just as they flew open. My eyes widened as I made my face look terrified, Wesleys face coming into my view followed by Andrew. His face relaxed before he saw the Rogues arm pinned on my throat, his eyes darkening as he growled a growl so deep I swear the elevator shook. "Get your hands off her!" He jumped into the room and threw him out the doorway, wrapping my body in his arms. I looked up to him with a smile as he smelt me, rubbing his body over my own as he tried to make me smell of him. It was a simple action most male wolves loved, showing that they had a mate and belonged to them. Although I didn't like the whole, 'belong to them' thing, it showed me how protective he was. Melts my cold heart.
