Chapter 13
When my family came into the pack house and greeted me. I felt joy in a way that I haven't in a long time. I was and am so happy to be "home" again. My family and I had went home to their house and we had talked about everything between heaven and earth. It felt really good to finally be pack together with my family again.
I shake all these thoughts out of my head and look over at the clock on the wall. It's five in the morning. I haven't slept a second since I came into my room at eleven. I roll over on my right side and close my eyes, trying to fall asleep. But the moonlight from the moon is shining right at my eyes, making it hard for me to fall asleep.
My eyes flutter open and meet the bright moon light. I move the thin covers of my body and toss my sleepy legs over the bedside. I walk up to the window, grabing the curtains preparing to closing them. Just before I'm about to close them I look out into the dark forest. My desire for a run growing inside me. I let go of the curtains and shift my gaze towards the small cabins near the pack house. Almost every cabin is off except some of them that have a small lamp in the window. Everybody is asleep.
I walk back inside of my room and over to my bag that is lying on a chair. I sip it open and take out a grey hoodie, a pair of black yoga pants and a sports bra. After that I close the bag and pull on the clothes. I walk towards the door where my shoes are located and grab them. I don't bring my phone 'cause it would only be a pain in the ass to bring it with me. I wouldn't have anywhere to place it.
I open my door carefully and peek outside. Nobody is in the hallway, I move out of the room and close the door behind me with my shoes in my hand. I continue to walk down the hallway as quiet as I can. I turn right when the hallway ends and then I go down the stairs. I try to be as quiet as I can when I move across the floor.
When my feet hits the ground I start to jog in a slow pace over where the forest opens up a bit, making it look like an exit and an entrance. I walk around a pinewood three deep down in the forest and remove my clothes. The clothes lay in a pile on the ground and I take of running.
I'm running completely naked through the woods in vampire speed. I haven't ran in my wolf form since four months ago and I don't usually run in my wolf because I'm fast and strong enough in my human form.
*************
When I've been running for seventy minutes I decide to turn back home. I stop and inhale a few breaths through my nose. The sun has begun to raise and the sky is slowly turning more yellow every second.
I turn around begining to run back home. I push my wolf to go faster and it does. The only sound that can be heard in the quiet forest are my paws pounding on the soggy ground. I keep on running until my left front paw gets stuck in something and pain shots through my entire leg. My body colapses on the ground, rolling in the dirt. A burning pain is shot through me leg and my wolf starts to whimper.
I raise my head from the ground trying to see what's wrong. I look down at me leg and there's so much blood. Blood running from my wounded leg down on the ground, making a bug puddle around me. The thing that I got stuck in is a beartrap. Who the fuck would put it here? Isa roars through our mindlink. I don't know, but when I do. I'll hit the person so hard in the face that they'll need a operation to get their face back to normal. I almost scream to her.
When I try to move my leg out from the trap. It just tightens more around my already wounded leg and makes me whimper more. Can't we just pull our leg out? Isa asks trying to hold in her howl of pain. If we pull it out, there won't be a leg left afterwards. I answer her trying to think about another option.
The only reasonable option is for my to change into my human form and try to bend it open so that I can pull the leg out. I lay back onto the soggy ground and shift into my human form. My naked body pulls itself of the ground and up onto my butt. I look down at my leg and the beartraps "teeth" are burried deep down in my flesh, making my red blood trickle down on the ground.
I grab the two metal pieces that are siting around my leg. I twirl my fingers around the pieces and start to bend them open. The teeth on the trap are cutting my hands open in the metacarpus. I grit my teeth together as the pain in my hands keeps getting stronger. When I've bent it enough to get my leg out, I pull it out as fast as I can. I let go of the trap and fall back on my back, letting my healing start.
After the healing is done I stand up on my legs again and grab the beartrap. I begin to run back to my clothes even though my leg hurts like hell. I glanze down at my legs and it's still bleading. Weird. I should've healed by now. When I'm at the three where I left my clothes I put the clothes on my body as fast as I can. The pants was the hardest do put on 'cause my leg still hurts from the accident.
I pick up the trap again and continue to walk back to the houses. Why would someone put it there? When I exit the forest I see that all the ones who are going to train this morning, are standing on the outside of the pack house talking to each other. I keep on walking up to the pack house with the trap in my hand.
After a few seconds people start to notice me and I can hear gasps, people sucking in deep breaths and some just stares. I ignore the looks I get and keep on walking. The smell of blood makes it's way up my nose and I shift my stare down to my leg. My greysweat pants are completely covered in blood from my knee and down. WHAT? It absolutely should've healed by now.
I walk through the crowd and in through the main doors of the pack house. I can hear how the Omegas are cooking and making everything ready for the breakfast. The sound of a clock can be heard and I glanze towards where I just heard the sound. The clock is quarter to seven.
My feet make their way up to the third floor where we and some other people live. I take long strides down the hallway and I stop outside Devon and Alex's room. I don't hesitate to knock hard on the door. The sound of the hard banging sure woke them up, because I can hear ramlbing and movements on the other side of the door.
Soon the door is slammed open and there they stand looking very newly awakened. When they see me their faces relax and the wooried looks on their faces disapear. I give them a little smile before I hold up the big beartrap with my blood covering it. Their eyes widen and they look at me with feared eyes.
"What happend!?" Devon screams quietly and Alex looks quite shocked at the moment. I don't say anything I just point down at my leg and their gazes shift down to my left leg. Their eyes widen and Devon grabs my arm trying bring me up in bridal style. Keyword Try.
Before he could even get a grip around me, I smack his arms away from me and begin to walk down the hallway. I gesture for them to follow and they grab their shoes and follow me downstairs.
When my feet hit the ground floor I turn around and meet them. They both look scared and worried. I meet Devon's eyes and I send him a calm expression.
"What happend?" Devon asks again grabbing the beartrap from my right hand with his left hand.
"I was out running and my foot got stuck in it, and my leg hasn't stopped bleading" I explain for them and they're both standing investigating the trap.
"But who would have put it their?" Alex asks out in the open, kepping his eyes on the object infront of him.
"Let's ask the Alpha."
