Chapter 7

He's doing it again... With her. I turn around from the crowded dance floor and run out of the building. When I'm outside I see Alex standing talking to the girl from before. They are standing out on the lawn. Alex leans over and whispers something in her ear and seconds later she giggles and starts to twirl her hair. The pain just gets worse and I run over to them. I jerk Alex to the side so that he turns around. Before he sees that it's me he looked like he could kill. His eyes soften when he sees me. "Liv! What's going on?" He asks me panicking. "He is" I manage to get out of me. "He is?" He asks confused, but then he realizes what's going on. He turns around and asks the girl to go and get the others. She does as he says and she's gone. Alex turns back to me and bends down do my level. "How do we get it to stop?" He asks me trying to help. "You can't," I say between my grunts. He doesn't say anything after that he just sits there looking at me with those golden brown eyes. The pain goes away and I start to breathe normally again. I can see from the corner of my eye how the others are coming running out of the house. Devon is the first to get to us and the others are close behind him. He bends down to my level. "What happened?" He asks with a strict voice. Alex looks at me and I meet his stare. I shake my head no and look away. I try to sit up but the pain attacks me and I fall back again on my back. The pain is excruciating and it feels like I'm getting eaten from the inside and out. "Answer me!" Devon commands. I can hear a small sigh and I know what's going to happen. I turn my head away from Alex and wait for it. "It's her mate.... he's with someone else" Everybody falls silent and I turn to look at Alex, but he's looking the other way. He betrayed me. He knew I didn't want him to tell anyone, but he did. My vision begins to blur from all my tears. I close my eyes and let the tears fall. The pain comes back to me and this time I let out a high scream. It feels like my entire body is on fire, burning my from the inside and out. It's terrible. I clutch me chest and whimper. I don't understand how he could do this to me. Does he even know how much it hurts? After my high scream people start to come outside. They are standing and watching me struggle. I can't take the pain, I can't be here anymore, I got to run. Then run. In seconds I raise to my feet and everybody looks shocked. I don't waste a second standing there and I start to run. When I'm in the middle of the lawn I jump and in mid-air, I shift into my midnight black wolf. Not caring if my dress would get ruined or if the guys would get mad at me. I land on my black paws and keep on running. I could hear a few gasps from my friends and other people around. I guess it's quite rare with black wolves. I continue to run into the dark forest and after a few seconds, I let Isa take control.
