Chapter 4 Are You Single?
Whitney was completely dumbfounded, unable to react in time. She saw Stefan give them a faint smile and say, "Are you from Helsa Magazine? Please have a seat."
"Whitney, what are you daydreaming about?"
It was only when Stella reminded her that Whitney snapped back to reality and sat down on the couch with them.
Stefan slowly wheeled his wheelchair toward them. Stella asked excitedly, "Mr. Morrison, can we begin now?"
"Please." Stefan remained indifferent, not once glancing at Whitney, as if they were complete strangers.
This distant attitude made Whitney unable to help but doubt if the person in front of her was just someone who looked very similar to her newlywed husband, Stefan.
"Um... Mr. Morrison, since you are so mysterious, none of us even know your name. Would you mind telling us your name?" Stella's face turned red as she nervously asked.
"Stefan." The elegant word smoothly rolled off the thin lips of the man in front of her, instantly shattering Whitney's last trace of fantasy.
Stefan. He really is Stefan. He is my newlywed husband, Stefan.
"Stefan. It's truly a beautiful name," Zora said with a hint of flattery. "Next, we would like to ask you a few questions."
As soon as the words fell, Zora immediately looked at Whitney. But she could see that Whitney was still staring blankly at Stefan, which made her a little anxious. She secretly pinched her.
"Hey," Whitney exclaimed in pain and then reacted.
For today's interview, it was agreed that Whitney would conduct the interview while Stella and Zora would take notes.
Under Zora's reproachful gaze, Whitney quickly calmed her flustered heart and adopted a professional attitude, starting to inquire, "Mr. Morrison, everyone is very interested in your background. Were you born in Svilledale?"
"Yes. I was born here. But I left the pack and went abroad at a very young age due to some family reasons." Unlike Whitney, who was panicking, Stefan remained calm from beginning to end.
After hearing his answer, Whitney suddenly felt a bit ridiculous. The man sitting opposite her was clearly her newlywed husband, but she didn't know any of this information about him.
After all, she was working at that moment. Whitney quickly put away her random thoughts and continued to ask the prepared questions one by one.
The interview went smoothly. Although Stefan was cold, he was also cooperative, dispelling the image of being unapproachable as rumored before.
Whitney also gradually entered the state of the interview, temporarily forgetting that the man in front of her was actually her newlywed husband. But when her gaze fell on the next question, she suddenly choked up, and the office fell into silence.
"What are you doing, Whitney?" This time, Stella was sharp-eyed and gently nudged Whitney. Whitney snapped out of her thoughts and quickly apologized with a smile.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Morrison. This question is a bit personal, but I believe many female readers would be interested." Whitney tried to suppress the strange feeling in her heart and asked without missing a word, following the prepared interview script, "May I ask... are you currently in a relationship?"
As soon as the question came out, Whitney wished she could bite her own tongue.
To her, it was a stupid question. She knew very well whether Stefan was single or not. But Stella and Zora were both present, so she couldn't avoid asking.
After asking, Whitney nervously looked at Stefan. She didn't know if it was her imagination, but Stefan's eyes, which had been calm all along, seemed to flash a hint of amusement.
However, this hint of amusement disappeared in an instant, so quickly that Whitney couldn't help but suspect it was just her imagination.
"Well, about this question..." Stefan spoke slowly and mysteriously, "Miss, what do you think?"
