Genevieve Laurent stepped out of the sleek black Rolls-Royce, her stilettos clicking against the marble driveway of Gideon Hart's glass empire like a war drum. The wind caught her silk trench coat, revealing the curve of her hips beneath a burgundy bodycon dress that whispered authority. Her hair was swept into a low, fierce bun, and her lips, blood-red and unyielding, curled into a knowing smile. Employees paused. Conversations halted mid-breath.
