Silas’s penthouse office overlooked the storm-glazed skyline, but the man behind the glass desk didn’t glance once at the chaos brewing outside. Papers scattered across the surface, contracts unsigned, reports unread, and still, he typed furiously, the glow of the monitor casting hard shadows beneath his hollow eyes.
