JUSTIN'S POV I waited until her breathing evened out and she was fast asleep before turning to face her and just watching her as she slept. She was beautiful. Breathtaking even. But I had never really paid attention to her beauty until I realized she was my mate. Before that, all I could see when I looked at her was Elise’s death. I used to push her away because of it, convincing myself that having her close was a betrayal to Elise’s memory but now, I barely thought of Elise at all, and the guilt that came with that realization made me feel like an awful person.
