I studied the man as he entered the room. He was impressive, large with shaggy hair and cold piercing eyes as he took the wine glass offered from a nearby omega, before slinking inside, his mouth twisted into a wolfish grin as he observed my mate and me. I didn’t like the look of him from the moment I laid eyes on him, nor did I like the way he was looking at my mate, as though she was something he wouldn’t mind having beneath him. It was rather irritating and I fought to keep my composure as my mate remained oblivious to the desirous look on the Alpha’s face. “Alpha Leon, I assume?” I asked, standing up out of respect and exposing my neck.
