"She just checked out this morning," Hearing this from the receptionist, his mouth drops open in shock as he stands frozen on the spot like a drenched puppy. "Do you have any idea where she was headed?" He's not supposed to be asking this question, at least not from the receptionist, knowing that they always keep the information about their customers confidential, but he can't help asking her anyway.
