Chapter 10

Chloe Orlando "Jeffrey..., I heard you married him. Do you love him?" His words echo in my head, and I freeze on the spot. My heart aches at the question he asked me. How could he still ask me that? The only man I ever loved, is Alex. After he left me years ago, I became a broken girl, but I never showed my pain to the world. I didn't want to appear broken and pained, I didn't want the world to see how miserable I am without him. I have tried so hard to forget about his existence, but the more I tried to, the more my heart yearns for him, the more my body longed for him and the more I want to be with him. It's already five years, and with each day that passes by, I wallow in my pain and carry my burden around. I smile at the world and let my pain die inside me.
