Chapter 9

The family gathers in the dining room to have dinner, but Chloe looks as though she's disturbed about something. She keeps glancing at the young man sitting across from her, who happens to be the same man she had bumped into a few minutes ago in the garden. The look on her face depicts emotions, as though she had met him somewhere else before today. Jeffrey has been observing the atmosphere since they started eating, but he chooses to ignore the suspicion that Chloe keeps trying to shoot in the air. Silence assumes the air, as the only sound that fills the atmosphere, are the sounds coming from the cutleries.
