Chapter 35 Fucked Up

EZRA'S P.O.V It had been a week since Tegan left. I hadn't reached out; I knew she needed time. But I wasn't going to give up. Not that easily. I would chase her back no matter how long it took. I knew in my heart she was the one for me. I just didn't know the reason behind it was a fated mate bond. I couldn't tell the Elders this, they would have her killed for her mere presence. Maybe the curse wasn't as strong as they thought? I felt this strong connection to her, my wolf felt overprotective and needy, then there were the sparks. How had I not put all the pieces together for what all the signs meant? Maybe it was best I hadn't recognized it, then the outcome could have been a lot worse for us both. But that didn't stop the ache in my chest I felt with her being gone.
