Chapter 11 A Party to Thank Mr Parker
Seeing Alexei actually turn and leave, Levi immediately started to panic.
He had pulled every string possible, calling in favors and using all his connections to get Lord of Gapdiff involved as his lobbyist.
It took a lot of work just to get Alexei to come out, and now, not only was his father still sick, but he had somehow managed to offend the doctor too.
Lord of Gapdiff, or Arthur, was a huge name, someone even Daniel had to tiptoe around.
"Maybe Lord of Gapdiff makes mistakes too," Ivan said with a shrug. "But in terms of skill, Mr. Parker is the real deal. That kid doesn't even come close."
Ivan was already thinking about his next move. If this doctor could cure his father, maybe he could take over as family head.
Jason stepped forward, looking confident. "If that kid is 80% sure, then I'm 100% sure!"
"Mr. Parker, I'm not questioning your skills, but I do have some concerns. Still, since you're so confident, I'll trust you with my father's treatment," Levi said, clearly settling for the next best thing after Alexei left.
Jason stroked his beard and gave a small bow. "I won't disappoint you."
He turned to his subordinate, standing outside. "Leo, go get my treasure chest."
"Understood, Mr. Parker!" Leo replied. A few moments later, a giant of a man walked in with a large box.
"My treasure chest is made of goldenwood, and the acupuncture needles inside are pure gold. I never skimp on quality," Jason said, opening the box and pulling out a silk package.
When he unwrapped it, everyone stared in awe. Eighteen gleaming golden needles were arranged neatly inside.
"Ivan, did you see that?" Levi asked, his voice filled with amazement.
"Mr. Parker is that great," Ivan said with a grin. "Not like some wannabes who can't even act the part."
Levi stayed silent, though he couldn't deny feeling a hint of respect for Jason.
Jason caught the reactions around him and allowed himself a satisfied smirk. This was the kind of recognition he thrived on.
Inside the room, the atmosphere grew tense as everyone held their breath, all eyes fixed on Jason.
Jason checked Daniel's pulse, his expression tightening.
It was obvious the situation was more complicated than he had expected. But with all eyes on him, he had no choice but to press forward.
As he inserted the first golden needle, Daniel, who had been lying lifeless, suddenly started to cough.
Jason glanced up and reassured the room, "Don't panic. This is perfectly normal. The golden needle technique is designed to jumpstart his body's energy."
Levi let out a shaky breath of relief. When Jason placed the eighteenth needle at the back of Daniel's neck, Daniel's coughing slowed to a stop.
Bit by bit, color returned to Daniel's cheeks, and his dull eyes began to regain their spark. Even the monitors showed steady signs of improvement.
Jason straightened up, visibly relieved. "Mr. Levi," he said, nodding with confidence, "I'm happy to say your father is stable now."
Levi's shoulders sagged as the tension melted away. It felt like a massive weight had been lifted from him.
The medical staff in the room were visibly amazed. They exchanged glances, then broke into murmurs of admiration for Jason's skill.
"Mr. Daniel Carter was at death's door, and Mr. Parker brought him back like it was nothing. His skills are unbelievable!"
"I thought I had a handle on medicine," one of the doctors muttered, shaking his head. "Compared to Mr. Parker, I'm just an amateur."
Hearing the glowing praise, Jason basked in the moment, his pride swelling with every word.
Jason waved it off casually. "Helping the sick is what I do. If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way. Plenty of patients in Jetpolis are still waiting for me."
Levi stepped forward, not wanting him to leave so soon. "Mr. Parker, you've saved my father's life. That makes you a true hero to our family. We can't let you leave just like that."
Turning to his staff, he instructed, "Reserve the entire top floor of Hotel Isora. We're hosting a party to thank Mr. Parker properly!"
Having spent decades in the business world, Levi knew how to make gestures that left a lasting impression.
Jason smiled knowingly. "With such a warm invitation, how could I possibly say no?" He was a man who understood when to take the spotlight and when to stay humble.
The group left the Carter family's house, making their way toward Hotel Isora.
But just as they reached the gates, someone called out, "Well, well, isn't this Mr. Walker? You've been hanging around all day. Still haven't found your way out?"
