Chapter 4 Eighteen Tiger Gate Needles
However, before she could finish gloating, the bodyguards had already lifted Willa and Clarissa. They swiftly escorted them outside.
"Hey, you've got the wrong people!" Willa protested.
"The one you should be throwing out is Tyler, not us.
"Ms. Middleton, you need to open your eyes. Don't let Tyler fool you!"
Willa's voice quickly faded from the hospital room as Mona's icy gaze swept across the remaining occupants.
"Why are you all still standing around?" she asked, her voice icy.
"Do you also want to experience being thrown out?"
Within seconds, the doctors scattered like frightened animals.
Tyler was curious about Mona.
He looked at her, sensing the icy coldness radiating from her like a block of ancient, unmeltable ice.
"Everyone here doubts me. Why are you so certain I'm not a fraud?" he inquired.
Mona glanced at him.
"Don't insult my intelligence by comparing me to fools.
"That would be an offense to me!"
She was a woman of remarkable intelligence.
Tyler felt that conversing with her was a breeze.
"I need you to prepare a set of silver needles for me. I'll need them shortly."
With a wave of Mona's hand, a bodyguard immediately went to handle the request.
As they walked into the inner room of the hospital suite, Tyler finally saw the elderly woman, over 80 years old.
She was gaunt and frail, her blood and energy drained, her life force dwindling.
"To be blunt, given her current condition, your request is akin to defying the heavens and changing fate."
Mona's expression remained unmoved.
"I know. That's why none of them could cure her.
"But I trust Uncle Gerald. If he says you can save her, then you can."
The silver needles were delivered.
Tyler carefully disinfected them.
Out of nowhere, Mona added, "If you can save my grandmother, you'll become the Middleton family's son-in-law; my husband, and mine alone."
Tyler's hand suddenly twitched.
"Sorry, I just got divorced and don't plan on remarrying anytime soon."
Mona paid no attention to his words.
"When the Middleton family gives their word, it's etched in stone.
"The notice clearly states that whoever cures my grandmother will marry me.
"There will be no going back on that."
Tyler suddenly understood.
"No wonder so many people are desperate to treat Madam Hoffman; they're all after you."
Mona frowned slightly.
"You're the first man to be so blunt and bold in front of me."
Tyler smiled.
"Thank you for your trust.
"With my treatment, Madam Hoffman will live another three to five years without issue."
Once all the preparations were complete, Tyler began inserting the needles with lightning speed.
Mona watched his hands move like shadows and felt reassured.
In just a few moments, Tyler had placed nineteen silver needles across Madam Hoffman's body.
Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Tyler gave Mona instructions.
"Keep an eye on her. I'm going to prepare some medicine.
"Remember, no one is to touch the silver needles until I return, or the consequences will be dire."
Mona agreed, but soon after, she received a call from senior executives at her corporation.
Not wanting to disturb her grandmother, Regina Hoffman, she stepped out to take the call.
However, not long after she left, the second son of the Middleton family arrived with a team of medical staff.
"Dr. Gavin Barlow, you're a renowned traditional medicine expert in Eldarion. I'm counting on you to help my grandmother.
"If you can restore her health, the reward will be substantial, and the Middleton Group's resources will be at your disposal."
Walking beside him was an elderly man with a white beard and an imposing presence.
He was giving off the impression of a highly skilled healer.
As he walked, he stroked his beard and said,
"Rest assured, Mr. Middleton. I'm only here to heal, and we can discuss rewards after the treatment."
Just this simple statement increased Brian's favorable impression of him.
However, when they entered the room and saw the eighteen needles in Regina's body, Gavin's face changed dramatically.
"Eighteen Tiger Gate Needles!
"This technique, lost for centuries, shouldn't exist in the modern world. Which quack doctor dared to use it?"
His apprentice looked puzzled.
"Mr. Barlow, what is Eighteen Tiger Gate Needles?"
Gavin was frustrated by his apprentice's ignorance and angrily poked his head.
"I've told you many times to study ancient texts, but you never listen! Now you see how foolish you are?
"Eighteen Tiger Gate Needles is an extremely powerful and intense technique, designed to boost vitality in the most severely weakened patients, almost to the point of 'reviving the dead.'
"But Madam Hoffman's blood and energy are too depleted; she's a flickering candle in the wind. She cannot endure such an aggressive technique.
"This isn't saving her life. It's forcing her into a temporary revival, only to have her rapidly decline and die after waking up."
These words left Brian so terrified his legs went weak.
"Dr. Barlow, I beg you, save my grandmother.
"I'll double the reward I promised if you can keep her safe."
Despite the huge reward, Gavin remained dignified.
"Don't worry, Mr. Middleton. Since I'm here, I won't let her die.
"You three, prepare for emergency procedures.
"If anything goes wrong, intervene immediately."
"Alright."
His three apprentices quickly got to work.
After a brief observation, Gavin removed the silver needles from her lower abdomen, below her navel, and her lower back.
