Chapter 15

Three days had passed since Hailey and I had taken that pregnancy test, which had shown a negative result. But something within me just didn’t feel right. My body was giving me more signs, signs I couldn’t ignore any longer. I lay in my room, the clock on the wall ticked away the minutes of the night. The moonlight filtered through the window, making me feel almost completely strong and restored. Before now, I still felt the pains and sores all over my body from my last encounter with Hunter, but surprisingly I felt normal now. I felt a sense of urgency, a desperation to confirm what my instincts were telling me.
