Chapter 8 My Father's New Wife Is A Cunning Slut

I looked around at the basketball court; the falcons were playing against the city lions. Well, the city lions, which I, by the way, think is a horrible name, is our school's very own basketball team. Yes, my college indulges in basketball competitions with other colleges and I would have either been in that field right now or at one of the reserve benches but I had opted out this season. I wasn't feeling too good for a game as my mind had other things to ponder about ; I have my final exams coming up shortly and of course, my family issues back at home. I am not even here this evening as a fan either, I had come here to see Pete as I had something to tell him. I searched through the six corners of the hall with my eyes, hoping to find Pete somewhere in the first row. He loved the first row where he could get the attention of the ladies, even though he wasn't part of the basketball team, he didn't even like the sports. Pete had assured me that he would be here when I had called him earlier today. After what I overheard Cecile had said over the phone this afternoon, I thought that it was important to do something but I didn't know exactly what to do. I thought of calling my father and reporting it to him but on second thought, I decided to meet with Pete first and know what he had to say. Even though he was very dirty minded, he was smart as well and so he could come up with a great idea on how to punish Cecile. I finally found Pete at one of the left corner seats of the field. The basketball court was built in the shape of a hexagon; I know, quite spectacular. Well this was our college field and the game tonight was a home match for us. The basketball players were still warming up in the field as the game had not begun officially. I skipped through the middle of the field in order to cross over to Pete at the other side and I could not help but notice eyes on me; mostly that of ladies. Yeah, everyone drools over me till they get to meet in person. The fact that I roll with Pete makes everyone think that I am just a bad boy as well, but the truth they eventually get to learn on a closer connection is that I am nothing like Pete; the guy is a legend. Unlike him, I am shy at times, I am not too social, I am obsessed with shiny clothes and taking pictures of myself. I don't smoke like him and I am one over three the womanizer that he is. There are so many other differences between us by the way. “Hey, what's up Dude!” Pete called out as he caught sight of me. He stood up from the middle of two girls where he was seated and extended a fist for me to bump. ” What's up man," I said softly and fist bumped him. I was still moody from the whole Cecile thing. "I thought you didn't want to come here today, what changed?" he queried “Oh, well something happened and I thought I should let you know about it in person. If your bitches don't mind, can we talk outside in private?” I asked in a cold voice; well, there was almost nothing to be excited about. “Sure man, buddies before bitches,” he uttered and I chuckled. We both walked out of the basketball court and stopped at a silent hallway. We looked around to make sure that we were there all alone and then Pete gave me the go-ahead signal with his eyes. “Alright man, something happened when I got home today. Look, I overheard Cecile on the phone with someone and it appears that she has a secret lover, she had only married my father for money like I feared,” I reported to my best friend. “Oh man, that is so fucked up!! Did you get any evidence?” Pete asked. I nod. “Yeah, I have a video record of her talking with the stranger and I caught quite everything that they said,” I replied. “Well, then that is good news, it seems like the universe is on your side,” Pete said with a smile. “What are you talking about?” I asked curiously. “Oh Noah, why do I have to explain everything to you? Have you forgotten our discussion earlier? When I asked you to make advances at your stepmom and fuck her," he asked and held my shoulders like I was his younger brother. "No I haven't, but what does that have to do with this?" I asked again. “Well, you see Noah… you said that you were scared of telling her to have sex with you because she might tell your father, but now you have leverage over her. She hasn't gotten what she had come here for and she would not want you to tell your father or he would kick her out of the house, so I think you should use this against her. You can blackmail her into doing anything that you please with this recording, just make sure that you do it with a confident expression on your face and don't ever lose this video until your work with it is done. We laughed over it and then he turned around and headed back to the basketball court. I began to walk back to my car while smiling to myself.
