Chapter 7 Finding Out The Truth About Cecile

I arrived home and alighted from my car; I had noticed a change of sound coming from the engine and that bothered me. The car was long overdue for maintenance and checkup but I have been too busy or maybe pretending to be too busy because I was too lazy to go see the engineer. After standing and staring for five minutes like there was something I could do about it, I turned around and headed for the door. Just as I opened the front door silently, the thought of Pete’s advice which had escaped my mind minutes ago, returned again. I had been pondering over the whole thing and it just felt absurd. I would never have the courage to say such a thing to Cecile, even though I really like Pete’s idea and I wish I could.
