Isabella’s hand scoured the top of the door, searching for the spare key. Her heart rate quickened as she heard someone coming up the stairs. She quickly pulled her hand away, dusting off her body and straightening her clothes. Could it have been that Vivianne set her up? No, it couldn’t be. Vivianne needed the documents just as much as Isabella needed to keep her secrets away from straying ears. She smacked her teeth, walking towards the stairs.
