Cole had slipped out of the room, walking past me with an icy glare, but spoke not a word. Marcus paused for a moment by my side. “We are just going to talk with the head doctor.” He informed me, so I took it that he was giving me the opportunity to walk in and see Seren. He had to have known I needed to see her. That my wolf needed to see her. I lingered for a moment, waiting, and watching as my two friends walked along the corridor, disappearing around the corner. The moment they were out of view I rushed to the doorway of the room I had been waiting for news from since we had arrived. There had been nothing.
