Joe called them to eat. She saw Brent sitting in the corner, his eyes never leaving her. She felt awkward, so she moved closer to Katrina and Eunice. Once everyone had their food, Brent stood up to get his. Thankfully, no one asked about her and Brent anymore. The atmosphere lightened again with laughter as Joe told stories. She and Brent were the only ones who remained silent. Whenever their eyes met, she immediately looked away.
